Hardware terms

These are the standard terms for a Startr™-provided Sage.is AI hardware deployment — a Mac (or other machine) we rent to you, set up, and keep running as a managed service. The equipment stays ours; your fee covers the service, support, hosting, and the rental.

The binding version of your terms is the Schedule you sign and its agreement. The plain-language summary below covers the parts everyone asks about — how billing and payment work.

Prices and currency

Prices are in Canadian dollars (our US-dollar list figures are applied one-to-one). Where they apply, we add GST and, for Quebec, QST/TVQ — or the equivalent sales tax for where you are.

How billing works

The default is annual, paid in advance, which comes with a 15% prepay discount. A monthly option is available too. Your price is locked for the term and revisited only at renewal, so nothing changes on you mid-term.

Paying your invoice

Invoices are due within 15 days (net 15) unless your Schedule sets a different date. You can pay by Wave, EFT, or cheque. Paying the invoice — or signing the Schedule — is how the agreement starts, whichever comes first.

If a payment runs late

First things first: if a payment is going to be late, just tell us. We would always rather send a friendly reminder and work it out with you than let it become a problem.

When an amount stays unpaid past its due date, we may add interest of 2% per month (24% per year) on the overdue balance, counted from the due date until it is paid. This is a standard late charge, and it is the same for every customer — nothing about your account in particular.

If an account stays overdue for a long stretch, we may pause the service after giving you reasonable written notice. Your data is never held hostage: it stays safe and is returned to you through the normal export-and-deletion steps in your agreement.

Term, renewal, and cancellation

Each Schedule runs for its initial term — one year by default — and then renews as the Schedule says. Either side can choose not to renew with 30 days' written notice.

Which law applies

The governing law is the one named in your signed Schedule and its agreement. That signed agreement is the full and binding version of your terms; this page is a plain-language summary to make the common parts easy to read.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time; the "last updated" date below tells you when. If anything here ever differs from your signed agreement, your signed agreement is what counts.
